Frequently
Asked Questions:

|
What
Exactly is a PUMPSITTER?
The patented PUMPSITTER is an innovative fully
AUTOMATIC utility backup system that installs by simply plugging
it into a wall outlet (custom applications may need to be wired
directly). Once online, it will power your existing PUMPS, whenever
needed, AUTOMATICALLY. PUMPSITTER has its own Transfer Switch
and Power Supply built right in. The internal power cell completely
and AUTOMATICALLY re-energizes, on demand, when utility power
is restored.
Is
PUMPSITTER a Generator?
NO. It acts as its own power source. Stored energy
is inverted to 110V electric, and AUTOMATICALLY switches over
when utility power failure occurs. Most generators are not AUTOMATIC
whereas PUMPSITTER is!! No fuel, no oil, no noise, no worries!
Best of all, our innovative GEL CELLS make our units virtually
maintenance free!
What
About the Cost?
Prices of the PUMPSITTER generally range between
those of a manual “pull-start” gas generator and home
power-generators. (NOTE: total power draw needs will naturally
affect pricing structures as well as any special application wiring
costs if needed.) Please contact an authorized representative
for complete details.
What
If I Need More Reserve Time?
PUMPSITTER cells can be “linked” to
increase reserve time. Ask your dealer about our Model 1800/2800
PowerPacks. Charging/Run cords are also available as an accessory
which help revive existing cells during an outage.
